The day before the MRI of the brain and pituitary gland with contrast enhancement, it is recommended to consume easily digestible food. Pregnant women should inform their doctor about their condition. It is important to remove all metal jewelry. Also, do not forget to notify the doctor about any metal devices or objects in your body, such as:

• artificial metal prostheses, staples, screws, plates, stents, clips,

When undergoing an examination with contrast, it is important not to eat for 4 hours before the start of the diagnosis; you can drink non-carbonated water. This is necessary to ensure good well-being during the administration of the contrast.

For young children who undergo this examination under sedation, there is a separate preparation: you must refrain from eating for 6 hours and drinking water for 4 hours before the start of the diagnosis.
