There is no special preparation, but if the patient wears contact lenses, they must be removed before the examination.
It is not recommended to apply cosmetics to the eyelids and eyelashes before the procedure.
Ultrasound diagnosis of the eye at the NOVO Medical Center takes place with the patient lying on the couch with the eyelids closed. The doctor applies the gel to the eyelids and guides them with a special sensor. During the examination, the specialist may ask the patient to move the eyeballs to the right, left, up and down. The examination lasts from 15 to 30 minutes, after its completion the patient receives the conclusion of the conducted examination with the specialist's recommendations.
